The
National Consortium for Life Sciences Entrepreneurship (NCLSE) founded in
2000 is a partnership between the
Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and twenty-one member Colleges and
Universities around the United States, all seeking to foster and promote Life
Science Entrepreneurship by establishing a network of national cooperation among
colleges and universities. Consortium members seek to develop and implement
innovative interdisciplinary solutions which enhance the education and training
of leaders Life Sciences Entrepreneurship.
In 2006 the NCLSE forged a
strategic alliance with USASBE to become an
affiliated organization. The ongoing relationship strengthens the goals of both
organizations and fosters collaboration among a wider scope of institutions
interested in Life Sciences entrepreneurship.
The Objectives of the Consortium:

Foster the development and training of leaders in Life Sciences
Entrepreneurship education and business.

Promote the inclusion of diverse disciplines in Life Sciences
Entrepreneurship education

Create opportunities for cooperation among colleges and universities in Life
Sciences Entrepreneurship education and training.

Develop nationally recognized innovative interdisciplinary Life Sciences
Entrepreneurship education and training programs

Create a national culture which supports the transfer of Life Sciences
technologies from university laboratories to commercialization.
